Ready, set, shop! These Treasure Valley retailers have confirmed they'll be opening for shoppers who want to get their Christmas shopping started (or finished) with a gut full of turkey.

I was THIS close to joining those of you who live for the thrill of finding the best deals on hot holiday items for the first time in years. We have two older Sony devices (a Blu-Ray player and smart TV) that recently cut support for Prime Video and we weren't quite sure if they'd be able to access Disney+. Personally, I don't want to go out in the dark and cold to rent my movies from Red Box when I should have access to what I'm paying for on my TV...so I thought about trying to find a great deal on a newer model smart TV that would support both those streaming services and Netflix.

...but then Amazon reached an advertising deal with Disney+ and now you can get Disney+ on the super affordable Amazon Fire Stick, so I just primed those to our apartment. There's no reason for me to go join the crazy now!

If you want to though, I support this and I can't wait to hear about your adventures! According to BestBlackFriday.com, these retailers will be open on Thanksgiving Day.

  • Best Buy (5 p.m.)
  • Bed, Bath and Beyond
  • Gordmans (3 p.m. - 1 a.m., reopens for Black Friday at 6 a.m.)
  • Macy's ( 5 p.m.)
  • Mattress Firm
  • Old Navy (3 p.m.)
  • Sears (6 p.m.)
  • Target  (5 p.m.)

They also believe based on past holiday seasons that Gamestop, Kohl's and Walmart will join the list soon.
