If there's police activity in your neighborhood, you'd like to know about it, right?

Luckily Ada County has a community notification system called, 'Code Red.' It alerts residents through call, text, or email when there is police activity in their neighborhood.

Residents on the Boise Bench were alerted to "stay inside, keep doors locked," during the officer involved shooting that left two officers in the hospital, and a K-9 officer in surgery.

The alert was sent out to 519 phone numbers with recorded voice message, six email addresses, and two phones via text message.
