Idaho’s 19 Scariest and Most Shocking Street Names
The Treasure Valley is known for its charming neighborhoods and picturesque streets. From historic roads like Harrison Boulevard to more modern roads like Meridian's Eagle Road, there is something for everyone. But some streets, while they look nice, sound like they're straight out of the latest Blumhouse horror film.
We're not sure if the movie or the street came first. Regardless, Boise is home to its very own Elm Street. We don't know of any horrific murders that have occurred here, but the street isn't new. We're sure some souls were lost somewhere along this charming residential street.
Salem Street reminds you of Massachusetts witch hunts, an odd era to name a street for. Kuna has several streets that sound scary. One is Rosemary Drive, which reminds us of the Mia Farrow horror classic, and Full Moon Street, where you might find a werewolf looking for a late-night snack.
Most of these street names have nothing to do with the street itself, except for Cemetary Road, which happens to be the place where you will find an actual cemetery. For the most part, these roads are perfectly safe and normal, but when spoken out loud, in a deep, slow, spooky tone, it can send shivers down your spine.
So, what is the scariest street name in Idaho? That's a little subjective, but we would have to vote for Dead Man Road in Cottonwood. Does it get any more horrifying than an actual dead man? We don't know which dead man the street was named for, but whoever it was made an impact.
Here is the entire list of the 19 scariest street names in Idaho.
