Idaho is filled with nature. Part of the reason so many people want to move here is because of how beautiful it is everywhere you go. There are tons of activities if you love the outdoors from hiking, camping, mountains, and more.

Here in Boise we live right on the Boise River, have mountains in our backyard, and are surrounded by some of the most beautiful nature in the country. Boise is literally nicknamed "the city of trees".

That being said you would have to assume that Boise is one of the greenest cities in the entire country. But that's not quite the case.

Greenest Cities Ranking

Considering Boise's named "the city of trees" we assumed that Boise would be a lot higher on the greenest cities in the country ranking. When you hike Table Rock and look down on Boise of course you see the homes, downtown, and football stadium but everywhere else there is trees and nature.

We are shocked that Boise isn't higher up on the ranking for greenest cities in the entire country. Right now Boise is ranked 35th which isn't terrible, and maybe we're a little bit biased, but it does feel like Boise should be even higher than that.

Obviously, it's more than just trees here. Boise is home to so many people and we have such great neighborhoods, college campus, and a beautiful downtown but still there is nature and trees everywhere you look.

What do you think? Should Boise be ranked higher? You can see more for yourself HERE.
