Boise State Alumni Swap Jerseys After NFL Preseason Game

We are patiently waiting for Boise State's new season to begin again and until then at least some form of football has been happening. The NFL is currently in their pre-season with many pre-season games happening throughout the next few weeks. Even though these games aren't the regular season it's still fun to watch all of the players and get a good idea of how each team's season will go. Plus, all of the usual team's players are there!

Which Boise State Alumni Are Making an Impact in the NFL?

This means we get to watch Boise State alumni in action at the NFL level even before the official season has started yet.

Ahmed Hassanein, former Boise State defensive end, has been putting on quite the show in these pre-season games. After suffering an injury last season we are looking forward to him having a healthy season in the NFL as he plays for the Detroit Lions this season.

John Bates, former Boise State tight end, has been in the NFL for the past few years after getting drafted by the Washington Commanders in 2021. Another Boise State alumni who has been fun to watch in the NFL these past few years it's awesome to see him on our television screens again.

Now Ahmed Hassanein and John Bates faced off in an NFL pre season game between the Detroit Lions and the Washington Commanders. The Lions narrowly beat the Commanders with the final score being 17-13. But the fun didn't end when the game did. After the game Hassanein and Bates met up and swapped jerseys! This is a beloved NFL Tradition and we got to see what nice messages they wrote to each other on their jerseys before swapping them.
