Should Parking Be Free In Downtown Boise?
Sure, there's probably a good reason behind it. The money probably goes toward infrastructure, or fixing roads, or some "project" that never comes to fruition. Probably.
That being said, why should we have to pay to park in downtown Boise? We live here!
Honestly, why make us pay for parking?
See? Exactly!
We're already paying for gas, car note, insurance, registration, and maintenance on our vehicles. You really expect us to dish out more money when we're just going to stop in the bar for an hour to play a couple Creed songs on the TouchTunes? Give me a break.
Ask around and see if any of your friends in Boise have disposable income they're actively trying to get rid of. Odds are, they do not, and are also none too happy about having to pay to park.
Our solution? Well, we don't have one. But! But. Maybe this article will get tons of traction and the principal of Boise (or whoever runs it) will notice it and make parking free for everyone!
With as whimsically as 2025 has been going so far, who knows. Maybe it'll happen!

Oh, hey you. Did you think you had downtown Boise's current parking situation all figured out? Do you believe it'll stay that way, and you'll have nothing to worry about?
You are adorable. Very wrong, but also adorable.
Trying to keep track of the rules and regulations when it comes to parking in Boise is like trying to figure out quantum mechanics during a paintball match.
