Idaho with its recreational areas and activities are second to none. We are so blessed to be surrounded by such awesomeness. I love Lucky Peak and recently explored Black Canyon and wanted to learn more about each reservoir and compare the two.

Nowhere can beat the lakes and rivers that Idaho has for fishing. Who knows maybe this year is your year to catch a beast like this guy... Boise's Scott Turner set a new Idaho state record with a 39.25 inch steelhead.

One thing I know, is that when times are the hardest, individuals hearts seem to grow and help out in unsuspecting ways. Like who would have guessed that 50,000 pounds of premium frozen trout would be available for the Treasure Valley community out of the blue.

My guess is someone was moving or just didn't want the fish anymore, instead of flushing it, like most people would do, they let it out into 'the wild' aka a nearby lake where it has been happily living under the radar and apparently feasting for years.

My man Kris, son Titus and I love fishing around the Treasure Valley and even had some good luck along the Boise River last fall so I am especially excited about this.

I love fishing. I grew up in Tucson Arizona where there is not much water but we had a little cabin and my grandmother lived up in The White Mountains. Just down the hill from the little neighborhood was a stocked fishing pond. While this isn't the serene and peaceful fishing that I enjoy now as an adult it was the perfect place to get my little fishing feet wet as a little one...

There is a fish that is being caught around town and its hard to tell what it is.

About 200 federally-protected adult steelhead have been found dead in the North Fork of the Clearwater River.  So what's going on?
