There were sightings of multiple lights in the sky following the first day of the Spirit of Boise Balloon Classic. What was going on up there?

The Spirit of Boise has been bringing the beauty of hot air ballooning to the city for 31 years. This year an extra special surprise excited the city during the annual nite glow spectacular. After a 45 minute display of the hot air balloons lighting up the night, the crowd was surprised with an incredible drone show

What a wonderful city we live in with opportunities for fantastic community events like the Spirit of Boise Balloon Classic, celebrating 30 years this year. We landed, deflated and packed up the balloon right in front of the administration building at Boise State University. We had a group of collage students stop and take photos and videos. I will never forget this monumental day. Thank you Boise for being so amazing.

So yesterday when I was invited to ride in a hot air balloon at the Spirit of Boise Balloon Classic I lucked out and got to ride with Randi Ashton and his amazing crew aboard the "Damnit Irving!"  Although when I found out the name of his balloon I had to ask, "how did you come up with a name like Damnit Irving...

Another reason I'm SOOOOOOOO glad I moved to Boise! This morning I got to take part in my first ever Spirit of Boise Balloon Classic.  I had the honor of riding along with Randi Ashton in his hot air balloon called, "Damnit Irving!" I already knew that Boise was beautiful, but to check it out at sunrise from a hot air balloon with so many other beautiful hot air balloons flying around us
