Cancer is a part of many of our lives. From knowing someone who has battled to battling yourself. In downtown Boise you will find a moving set of quotes and artful pieces to encourage, relate to and inspire cancer survivors and cancer warriors who are still fighting.
The Richard & Annette Bloche Cancer Survivor Plaza is located at the far end of Julia Davis Park across from Whole Foods. It was designed to take visitors on a reflective journey through the 'Positive Mental Attitude Walk'. The walk takes you on a path surrounded by inspirational and instructional messages.
The Julia Davis Park Rose Garden has been around for almost 90 years and holds thousands of stunning, vibrant and fragrant roses of all kinds. Check out these beautiful photos and the Rose variations.
Originally opened 93 years ago this Boise staple was nearly taken all the way out due to a human caused fire in 2018. Through a multi year plan The City of Boise with support from Mayor McLean along with Boise's Parks and Recreation and Boise City Department of Arts and History were able to restore it and make it better than ever.
Suppose you're having one of "those" days, a "case of the Mondays," or you just need to take some time to relax. The Rose Garden at Julia Davis Municipal Park in downtown Boise might be precisely what you need. It probably won't be in bloom like it is right now for long, so you'll want to take advantage of the vibrant colors as soon as possible.
