Cooper Alan’s Song For His Baby Girl, ‘Whole World,’ Will Melt You Like Butter
You don't need to be a parent to get a little misty-eyed listening to Cooper Alan's new song "Whole World." But if you are, you don't stand a shot at keeping your eyes dry.
Timed for Father's Day, the release is a tribute to Alan's baby daughter, Coley Frances. The singer and his wife Hally welcomed Coley — who is their first child — in December.
"Everything we've prayed for, dreamed about & then some! Thank you Jesus!" Cooper and his wife said in a joint Instagram post as they announced their daughter's birth, along with some photos of the first hours and days of her life.
Alan has gained success by using just the right lyrics to describe relatable, familiar concepts. This song is no different: He retrofitted the gospel classic "He's Got the Whole World in His Hands" as a parenthood anthem, and the concept fits like a glove.
Who is Cooper Alan?
Alan shot to viral success with two early songs, "Climate Change" and "New Normal," which are still fan favorites. He released his 20-song debut album, Winston-Salem, in November 2025.

In the meantime, Alan — who is a 2026 Taste of Country RISER — has steadily grown a large and devoted fanbase on TikTok, and he's rising through the ranks in more mainstream country industry platforms, too.
Cooper Alan, "Whole World" Lyrics
I spent my 20s / Pedal down chasing / Bright lights, dollar signs, every night thinking I’d / Climb til I made it
But a trophy on the mantle and some honey in your cup / Don’t even hold a candle to the feeling that comes / When that doc says "dad" and he’s talking to you and / Just like that your dreams come true...
Chorus:
I’ve got the whole world in my hands / She don’t know how she changed this man / She’s got my heart and I don’t want it back / I know this part goes by too fast / I’ll hold on long as I can / While I’ve got the whole world in my hands
It’s hard to believe it / But soon I know / It’ll be riding bikes, story time, say goodnight /Daddy I love you the most
Yeah one day I’ll be her daddy and the next I'll be dad / I’ll be thinking about now, wishing I could go back / But you can’t hit the breaks, can’t slow down the years / So I won’t miss a moment like this one here
Repeat Chorus
Yeah I know one day that there’s gonna be some other man / Who will change her last name, be her new superman / And I’ll give her away and try not to cry / But for one last dance, one last time...
Repeat Chorus
