
Driver in Critical Condition Following Crash With Semi in Southern Idaho
Within the last three hours, we received three accident reports from the Idaho State Police. All three accidents happened in southwest Idaho on the afternoon of June 3rd.
One accident, covered in a separate article, involved a sedan and a farm implement hay stacker truck in Twin Falls. The other two accidents involved semi-trucks: a semi vs SUV in Gooding County and a semi-truck rollover in Cassia County.
Driver in Critical Condition Following Crash With Semi in Southern Idaho
Idaho State Police are investigating an accident that happened near Gooding on US26 near mile marker 153, a few minutes before 6:40 PM on June 3rd.
A 2019 Freightliner driven by a 51-year-old male, and a 2013 Ford Explorer driven by an 18-year-old male, both from Shoshone, were traveling eastbound on US26.
The driver of the Explorer struck the back of the Freightliner while it was attempting to make a left-hand turn.
The teen driver of the SUV was taken by air ambulance to a local hospital and is in critical condition.

ISP also reported a semi truck rollover in Cassia County on June 3rd at 5:55 PM on I86. The report doesn’t give specifics on the accident location, other than that it happened east of Burley.
A 2020 Freightliner driven by a 59-year-old male from Romania was traveling eastbound on I86.
The driver of the Freightliner lost control and overturned in the roadway.
The accident blocked traffic on the interstate for about two hours and is being investigated by the ISP.
