Over the past three decades, there have been an average of more than 40 human fatalities caused by lightning, according to information shared by the National Weather Service.
It is hard to imagine a worse fire year than last year, while Idaho had definite burn damage it didn't come close to the overwhelming wildfire destruction that Oregon and California faced last year. This year Idaho's fire season may start sooner and be worse than recent years.
