We’ve made it through Black Friday and Cyber Monday, but the gift-buying season is just getting started folks.

You might still be receiving packages from those two days, but even after Black Friday and Cyber Monday are over, we’re just now entering the most popular time of the year for online purchases, as many are only beginning their Christmas shopping... and most of that is happening online.

That also means it’s the most popular time for packages to be left on your front doorsteps...

Nationwide, and yes, even in Idaho, there is a huge spike in stolen packages and issues with “porch pirates.”

My favorite tip from the list below is to purchase a lockbox for your packages. One fast search on Amazon and you’ll see there are A LOT of different kinds of package lockboxes: different shapes, sizes, and designs so you can pick ones that truly matches your home.

Also, there are boxes that only you have access to (by key or code), and ones that your carrier can actually have a code for, too.
