6 Reasons Why Julia Lipnitskaia is the Best Figure Skater Ever!

If you've seen any bit of coverage of the Sochi Olympics so far, chances are you've seen or heard about this 15 year old figure skating prodigy.  I've been hooked on this little ice princess since watching her mesmerizing gold medal performance over the weekend.  There have been so many amazing figure skaters in the past 22 Olympic games, but none of them match up to Julia Lipnitskaia, and here's 6 reasons why:

1) She's 6 days younger than former US Olympic figure skater, Tara Lipinski, making her the youngest winter Olympic athlete ever to win the gold medal.  The video below is from her Feb 8th routine, and clearly shows how she was able to make history.

2) In 2011, she won gold in the Russian National Finals.  How many 12 year olds can do this?

3) She's a contortionist; her rubber bones allow her to perform some of the craziest moves you'll ever see on the ice.

4) She's a true Ice Princess.  Her face never shows any effort.

5) She can fly.

6) She's a Ninja.
