Boise State's new Director of Athletics, Jeramiah Dickey wasted no time in hiring a head football coach for the Broncos! The announcement that came over the weekend named Andy Avalos the newest member of the BSU family. Avalos is a former Bronco student-athlete and was the assistant coach and defensive coordinator. He now is signed on a four year deal, and an expensive deal at that.

According to KTVB Avalos will make a base salary of $1.4 million in year one. Beginning in year two, he will receive an annual raise of $75,000. He will also have performance-based incentives or bonuses, not exceeding $200,000 annually. The college will also provide Avalos with a vehicle, moving expenses, and complimentary tickets to other Bronco athletic sporting events. Now that's a pretty sweet job contract. The next question is how he will bulk up the team under him. He has been granted a $2.1 million annual budget to hire 10 on field assistant coaches with a possible increase in the second year.
