Like many parents, we've put a lot of thought into our children's education and how to best prepare them for the future.

We homeschool our six-year-old because we enjoy the flexibility of teaching her skills you can’t learn in a traditional classroom. That’s what we love about Idaho Technical Career Academy (ITCA). It's a virtual high school, so it will be a while before she's ready for it, but the school offers so many different college and career pathways that emphasize real-world skills.

For instance, some students focus on agriculture, health services, or business and gain certifications for these careers. Others really hit AP classes or dual enrollment, so they graduate high school with an associate's degree or college credits. ITCA also supports military families, agricultural families, and those with special needs who might need additional assistance or flexibility.

Throughout students’ education, there's an emphasis on digital literacy, leadership, and communication skills, which are so important in the job marketplace. It's a public high school, so teachers are certified, and it is tuition-free.

With all of the focus and attention we’re able to give our child through homeschooling, we have confidence that Idaho Technical Career Academy (ITCA) will provide her with the skills, discipline, and independence to succeed in the real world. Being able to provide that while surrounding her with like-minded students makes ITCA a prime environment for our child and her future.
