Jimmy Kimmel hosted the event for the 3rd time. He kept the energy and excitement up through the night even though the Staples Center where he was hosting was primarily empty and all of the stars excepted their wins virtually. Even with the abnormity from previous years the show was fun, exciting and entertaining. This always gets me to get started in series that I maybe wouldn't have tried on my own.

The biggest winning show of the night is a comedy that I have already been watching on and off for the last year or so. Schitt's Creek. Its clever, funny and you cant help but fall in love with the goofy characters. This Canadian based riches to rags story had 15 nominations and won an unprecedented 7 awards, making it the only comedy to ever do that. Dan Levy, Eugene Levy, Catherine O'Hara, and Annie Murphy all triumphed in their acting categories and Dan also won in the writing and directing categories as well. Schitt's Creek also claimed the coveted Outstanding Comedy Series award.
