Motorheads - Rejoice! The oldest running event at Firebird Raceway is back for 2017!

The annual NAPA Ignitor Opener is this weekend at Firebird Raceway, between Eagle and Emmett on Highway 16. If you've never been to an event like the Ignitor, you should check it out. You can feel the energy and excitement in the air. The competitive spirit is everywhere. It's easy to get a color overload with the wild, crazy and colorful paint schemes on the cars, trucks and bikes.

The smells are a whole different game. You get the smell of the burgers, hot dogs and fries wafting through the area, mixed with the smell of nitro fuel and burning rubber.

Nearly 400 drivers are anticipated for the opening stop in the Division 6 Lucas Oil Drag Racing Series.
