With their main office in Emmett, they’re accepting donations all day and coordinating to bring supplies down to the Gem County Chamber of Commerce.
As the community bands together, individuals are cleaning out their closets to donate clothes, while others are organizing supply drives. Meanwhile, Idaho continues to grapple with several other significant fires. The Dollar Fire, sparked by lightning on August 5th, is burning 18 miles northeast of Cascade. This fire has required extensive local resource deployment. Similarly, the Wolf Creek Fire has been challenging crews since it started on July 24th. It’s part of the larger West Mountain Complex fires, causing major disruptions and risks.
