Some of this year's highlights of the 208 Tattoo Fest include a reptile and gaming expo, seminars, live entertainment, and piercings.

Tattoos have been more mainstream and accepted over the years as the body art culture has evolved. From pro athletes to grandmas are getting inked.
The Treasure Valley has a thriving tattoo scene
A few things to remember if you're attending 208 Tattoo Fest for the first time.
1. Don't reach out and touch someone's tattoo. It's not polite and could get a hand slap or worse.
2. Do ask someone about their tattoo. Most people with tattoos love telling the stories behind them and recommending their favorite artists.
3. If you end up getting a tattoo at the event, don't ask for a discount, and tip generously, these are artists that take pride in their work. A good tip is a sign up respect for that art.
4. Lastly, be prepared to see some things you certainly wouldn't see anywhere else.
Enjoy the show and be kind.
