Girl Scout Cookie Doughnuts Have Arrived In Meridian!
It's no secret that I have a sweet tooth. Heck, I have an entire mouth of sweet teeth, actually! But when I heard that Krispy Kreme and The Girl Scouts were teaming up for a doughnut collaboration, it was almost too good to be true.

Could my favorite Girl Scout cookies actually be a doughnut too? The answer is a resounding yes.
I immediately picked up the phone and called Krispy Kreme in Meridian. The manager answered, I identified myself, and I was calling about the new Girl Scout cookie donuts. She paused, I asked her name, she paused again, then hung up. I was sure she thought it was a prank, so I quickly called back to explain.
That's when a young man answered, again, I identified myself, and why I was calling. I asked his name, and he replied "Alexandr-ah-oh". I told him I had read about the new Girl Scout cookie doughnuts and asked if they were available at the shop.
He confirmed they had them and vowed I would be down to get some later. I thanked him by name, "Alexandr-ah-oh," and he confessed his name was actually Talon. We laughed, I left, and braved traffic to get to these magical doughnuts.

When I arrived, the place was empty, but that was ok with me as I came in hot, literally hot; it was 99 degrees outside, and most people weren't thinking of doughnuts. But that was the only thing I was thinking about. I enthusiastically stormed into the shop and saw Talon behind the doughnut case, and we exchanged hellos.

I approached the case, and he showed me the newest and most delicious doughnuts that I had called about. The officially licensed Girl Scout Cookie Krispy Kreme doughnuts.

Talon went on to explain that there were three flavors: thin mint, lemon up, and the caramel coconut delight (Samoa). He also told me they are a limited edition and would probably be offered for only about a month or so.

I tried each. Thin Mint first, not my favorite cookie, but I enjoyed the crispy cookie topping and minty flavor. Next, the Lemon Drop, which was a filled doughnut with lemon icing on top and lemon filling inside. Again, not a big lemon fan, but this was just the right amount of lemon that didn't overpower the doughnut, not bad.
Finally, it was time to try the one I had come for. My favorite Girl Scout cookie combined with a delicious fresh Krispy Kreme doughnut. The Samoa, now called the Caramel Delight. This was a perfect combination of flavors. The melt-in-your-mouth delicious Krispy Kreme doughnut, topped with caramel, chocolate, and toasted coconut.

One bite and my eyes rolled back in my head, and I had what could only be described as a sugary out-of-body experience.

I highly recommend you get to Krispy Kreme in Meridian to try these incredible Girl Scout cookie doughnuts before they are gone, or before I eat them all!
