New Babies at Zoo Boise

A baby wallaby and a baby giant shrew are the newest little additions to Zoo Boise.

The giant shrew (rat-sized mammal) was born March 15 to parents Polaris and Havok. It has recently started exploring away from the nest!

The baby wallaby is still spending a lot of time in her mother Kaiya's pouch, but you may have seen it at the recent Wallaby Walkout exhibit.

Congrats to all the new parents, and thanks to Zoo Boise for taking such good care of those cute babies!!
