The Treasure Valley is starting to "Cowboy and Cowgirl Up!" The Snake River Stampede is coming! The festivities actually start this weekend in Nampa!

The Stampede Community Festival is the kick-off to celebrate the long-standing tradition of the Snake River Stampede (July 18 - 22) at the Ford Idaho Center.

The City of Nampa gets into the rodeo spirit with two days of fun and festivities, downtown Nampa this Friday and Saturday. You'll find all kinds of vendor booths, a parade, the Nampa Fire Department's Burnout Fund BBQ, the Kiwanis Steak Fry, the farmer's market, the Stampede Community Breakfast, kids activities, live music and more!

If you're new to the Treasure Valley and haven't seen the Snake River Stampede, you're in for a treat. The rodeo turns 102 this year, and when you attend you'll see why it's been around that long!

If you're still not certain it's for you, take the time and go check out the Stampede Community Festival this weekend. The sense of community pride and excitement surrounding the Snake River Stampede is contagious.

Have fun....and Cowboy Up!  Or Cowgirl Up!
