The Ford Idaho Center has been filled with dirt and has been transformed into a big rodeo arena! The 102nd Snake River Stampede starts tonight!

It's one of those milestone marker events here in the Treasure Valley! It means several things to different people. For some, it means the event they've been looking forward to since last year at this time is finally back! For others, it's an event that's a must attend, even if you're not the biggest rodeo fan, because FOMO (fear of missing out) kicks in and you don't want to be the one person in your peer group that didn't go. For others still, it marks the midpoint of the summer and means we're only about 6 weeks away from football season.

Whatever it means to you, you can be sure that if you go, you'll catch the electricity in the air inside the Ford Idaho Center, starting with the famous "Stampeders" and their night light show to start things off. Then the action kicks in with the steer roping, barrel racing, bronc busting and the antics of the rodeo "clowns" who are performers in their own right, but with a serious job of helping keep the riders and performers safe.

If you've never been to the Snake River Stampede, here's your chance to check it out. It starts tonight (July 18) and continues through this Saturday (7/22). There's a matinee performance on Saturday afternoon that is perfect for the family!

Join WOW 104.3 this Friday night (7/21) for Hometown Heroes Night and honor those that serve our country, our communities, and us, the people who live in the Treasure Valley and sometimes take people like them for granted.

So come on Treasure Valley! Cowboy or cowgirl UP! We'll see you at the 102nd Snake River Stampede this week!
