Stephen Wilson Jr. “Gary The Torch” Tour Is Coming To The Ford Idaho Center Sept. 22
The Ford Idaho Center continues to prove why they have the most diverse musical and event line-up in the Treasure Valley with Stephen Wilson Jr. and his "Gary The Torch" North American Tour, Tuesday, Sept. 22 in Nampa.

The first time I saw Stephen Wilson Jr., was at the Idaho Falls Civic Center a few years ago opening for Midland. I had no idea, and neither did most of the crowd, who he was.

He walked out onstage without an intro, lanky guy with glasses, a curled up greasy ball cap with tufts of hair poking out, wearing an orange puffy vest, picked up his guitar and introduced himself.

Within the first bar of his first song, I knew this guy was different. Different in the most wonderful way. Clearly and guitar wizard playing a beat up acoustic with heavy vinyl strings that he bent to his passion and will with every tune.

His vocals at time raw and irreverent on some songs and controlled and with perfect pitch on others.

Stephen Wilson Jr.'s life before becoming a touring artist is just as eclectic as his sound. He was a professional microbiologist and research and development food scientist for candy company Mars, Inc.

He father taught him to be a boxer, and by age 7 he was an Indiana State Golden Glove finalist.
His debut album Son Of Dad is a personal collection of songs that pay tribute to his late father who called him to say good-bye and told him "Write me a good song Stephen" he also said "I love you" four times. That profound moment on his iPhone inspired the song "Father's Son" and set the tone for the rest of the album.

His biggest stage would come performing the National Anthem during the 2025 NFL Draft which would lead to an opening slot for Hardy while headlining his own Son Of Dad tour.
His songs are beautifully simple and extraordinarily complicated.
You will walk away from his concert with an appreciation with the man, his music, and his heart, and no doubt be a fan for life. Don't miss Stephen Wilson Jr.
