If you are one of the 4.9 million users of the phone app Snapchat, you probably have been receiving a bombardment of spam snaps from random users over the weekend, due to a recent major data breach. After being swamped with complaints, Snapchat has issued a public apology on their website, and stated they are working on fixing the spam problem as soon as possible. Until then, there is a way to block unknown users from sending you snaps.

1. Go to the main feed screen and click on the settings icon at the top right corner of the screen.

2. Under the privacy section, select "Receive Snaps from..."

3. Instead of receiving from Everyone, select "My friends."

This should keep away those pesky spam snaps for awhile.
