Throughout its 122-year history, Crayola has refused to bring back colors. That's about to change.

The underground tunnels are mostly used by government and state employees. The tunnels go under streets, sidewalks and buildings mostly in and around the capitol in downtown Boise. Most of the original paintings are dated from 1986, 1987, and 1988. The original art has been hiding from the public in these underground tunnels for 35 years.

According to their website, the Old Boise Model Railroad Club has been assembling its railroad model since 2001 and consists of "more than 1,800 square feet, 50 scale miles of track and 210 switches."

Local art is one of the greatest things about the Boise area. We have everything from traditional galleries to the Freak Alley Gallery. Idahoans sure do love their art, and more importantly, we love supporting the local artists. Boris (Bill) Garibyan of Idaho Art Gallery is celebrating the grand opening of his new location in Meridian this weekend.

New paintings are on display at City Hall that show iconic Boise buildings including the Egyptian Theater, the Idaho Statehouse, and the Idanha building. They're a gift directly from the artist.
