The S’Mores Station Celebrates National S’More Day In Nampa

Wednesday, August 10th in National S'Mores Day and if you're anywhere near Nampa,  you've got a reason to celebrate!

Mail Room N' More is teaming up with local business, The S'mores Station for free s'mores sample tastings from 11:30 a.m. - 2:30 p.m!

You may have seen The S'mores Station around the Treasure Valley at bridal showers, weddings, graduation parties and corporate events.  They're known for catering events with up to five flavors of fluffy, homemade marshmallows, decadent chocolates and graham crackers that match the theme and colors of each event.  With marshmallow flavors like vanilla, chocolate chip mint, toasted coconut, raspberry, strawberry, key lime, caramel mocha and cookies and cream, it provides a super unique alternative to cakes or cupcakes at parties!

They even sell S'mores to go kits that include six locally made gourmet marshmallows, twelve shortbread graham cookies with a chocolate bottom, roasting sticks and mini fire so you can enjoy a unique s'more wherever you're at! Or you can try one of their S'mores on-a-stick, which is basically one of the marshmallows dipped in chocolate and rolled in graham crackers.

Where did The S'mores Station's owner, Stacy Nelson, get such a cool idea? It actually came from her daughter!  When her daughter was 13 year's old she was roasting marshmallows with her friends in the backyard to celebrate the last day of school when she had the light bulb moment to create a s'mores store.  The mother-daughter duo couldn't let the idea go so they spent a year perfecting their homemade marshmallows.  After rave reviews they decided to start up the catering service.

Look for them at the Eagle Market or in stores soon!  They're currently working with the Small Business Development Center in Boise to go retail with their marshmallows in the next 2 months.  If everything goes according to plan, you'll see their goodies under the name Fireside Mallow Co soon!
