To Salt Or Not To Salt?

This all started when I got these little, what I thought were salt shakers, in the mail yesterday.  These look like they contain salt, right?

Turns out ONLY after I finished salting my cucumber this AM that I realized it was actually little things of sand.  Randy couldn't understand my outrage saying "Who puts salt on cucumbers any way?" I would like to thank the many of you who responded with a resounding YES I DO!  Now.  Can you please vote so I can share with Randy that he is wrong...salt on cucumbers is really a thing.
