Okay, You’re “Together.” Now What?
While dating, before my wife and I got married, she broke up with me because I had a weight problem.
No, not that kind of "weight." She broke up with me because I WAITed seven years to ask her to marry me. To be fair, I was also kind of a jerk and I really needed to grow up. Once I worked through some stuff, I did finally put a ring on it. BUT-- it took seven years for me to come to my senses.
This year we'll have been married for 10 years. So, my question for you is, do we celebrate our "anniversary" as when we got married, or from when we started dating? Do we celebrate 10 years together or 17 years together?
Either way, the one thing I am sure of is that I totally married-up. I'm glad I came to my senses and made the best decision of my life: to marry my best friend.
