For the first time in 100 years, U.S. Postal Stamps have dropped in price.

First-class letters dropped from 49 cents to 47 cents, and postcards dropped from 35 cents to 34 cents.  For the past few years we've been paying a "exigent surcharge" implemented to help with the recession, so instead of prices going up because of inflation, that surcharge has been lifted and prices have gone down.

Postal Service Managers are saying this reduction will add up to $2 billion dollars in annual losses.
