Eden Is Real, And It’s In Idaho
Truck stop, convenience store, rest stop, and travel oasis. You've seen them while traveling, and there are more and more to choose from for gas and snacks in Idaho.

I have begun traveling quite a bit, especially in Southern Idaho, and when it comes to places that are begging us to pull off the road and buy what they're selling, there is no shortage of options.

The traditional "Truck Stops" still function as truck stops. With dedicated diesel pumps and plenty of parking for day and overnight stays.

And inside the adjacent building, usually a wide variety of snacks and drinks, tools and trucking accessories, and the obligatory hot showers. You know you're in a real truck stop when they still use the PA to call out names for open showers.
Idaho Travel Stops Offer More Than Just Gas & Snacks
The evolution of the truck stop has forced virtually every roadside and even city gas station to become an Oasis for not only the usual snacks and drinks, but now hot food, vehicle accessories, and even shopping that includes clothing, toys, and souvenirs.

Perhaps the pinnacle of these in southern Idaho is The Garden Of Eden At Traveler's Oasis, I-84 Exit 182, Eden, Idaho . Yes, the first time I saw the sign, with the apple, I thought of the Garden of Eden from Genesis in the Bible, but it's a clever play on words.

You'll definitely be tempted by the huge selection of food, snacks, and beverages at The Garden Of Eden at Travelers' Oasis in Eden, Idaho.

According to their website "We've been serving truck drivers, travelers, and families from our convenient, clean, and safe location for over 40 years."

I can honestly say, I actually look forward to stopping there when it's on my itinerary. They never fail to live up to their reputation.

This massive travel stop complex boasts plenty of gas pumps for cars and trucks, a drive-thru window, and multiple name-brand restaurants under one roof that include Taco Time, Sonic, Krispy Krunchy Chicken, Pizza Hut, and Cinnabon.
What really impressed me was the extensive Wine section tucked in between the beer cooler and trucking equipment and accessories. And not just a few bottles, but a fully curated wine section worth of gift-giving and special occasions.

Eden also features a laundromat, showers, gift shop, dine-in food court, a dog park, and the original tree and big green serpent coiled around it from the previous food court before the big remodel and expansion.

It might not be the tree of knowledge, but, know you know where to stop, rest, and refuel if you're traveling between Boise and Pocatello. Safe travels!

What about Bucc-ees In Meridian, Idaho? According to The Idaho Statesman: "City and transportation officials deemed the project "not feasible" due to severe traffic concerns, particularly regarding how the massive 74,000-square-foot travel center would impact congestion at the Interstate 84 and Meridian Road interchange."
