I believe it was just last week that we were talking about Costco and how they would be increasing the pay of their employees. Some of their top-tier employees could make up to $30 an hour. Now, we're sitting here talking about Costco rocking the boat but cutting three items that a lot of people love. If you love Costco's signature snacks or items you stock the pantry with, brace yourself.

Kirkland Chocolate Chips Are Gone

Kirkland's affordable chocolate chops are going bye-bye! Available in both semi-sweet chocolate and 51% cocoa varieties will no longer be available. Why? Because of soaring costs that are reportedly jumping nearly 200%. Which had Costco phasing them out in late 2024. Nestlé Toll House chips remain an option, but shoppers enjoyed Kirkland's flavor and competitive pricing.

Food Court Changes Eliminate the Roast Beef Sandwich

Not the Roast Beef Sandwich! It debuted in 2023 and has exited the food court in record time. It was $9.99 for the Roast Beef Sandwich, and well... customers weren't impressed, calling it dry and uninspiring. Instead, you can get a Turkey and Swiss sandwich for $6.99. I'm more of a Turkey and Swiss sandwich kind of guy anyway.

No More Churros

Not again!! The fan-favorite churro has also disappeared from Costco's food court—yes, for the second time. Costco's previous attempts to remove or replace the churro have been met with backlash and competition from new snack offerings like Costco's chocolate chip cookies. Can they make those cookies anymore, though, since they're discontinuing the Kirkland chocolate chips?
