3 people are being treated in area hospitals tonight following 3 separate car accidents in the Treasure Valley.

As temperatures warm up, people tend to speed up on the roads resulting in more accidents in the summer than any other time of the year. "Crash season" kicked off early with a pickup truck and a motorcycle getting tangled up in Meridian last night at about 6:15 pm just off of Victory and Meridian Road. The driver of the pickup failed to yield, and although the motorcyclist is expected to survive, he's in serious condition tonight. You can read more on this story HERE.

The traffic snarls continued in the early hours this morning when a man from Kuna was struck by a car in Garden City just after 2am on Ustick Road between Curtis and 43rd Street. 36 year old Brian E. Slagel is in critical condition. You can read more on this accident HERE.

The string of accidents ended this afternoon around 2:45 with an Idaho State Trooper being injured in a crash on I-84. You can read details of this story HERE.

Let these accidents serve as a reminder to take it easy on the roads even when we don't have weather conditions to deal with.
