Former morning and afternoon host and part of the original WOW Country crew from 2006-2009, Don Jarrett is back!

Don has spent the last 15 years on the air in East Idaho at KTHK, The Hawk for 8 years and on The Wolf for the last 5 years.

"I moved to Boise in 1996 to do evenings on KIZN, then moved to Salt Lake City to help launch The Eagle. I returned to Boise in 2006 to help launch WOW Country, and then moved to Idaho Falls in 2011. It's truly a full circle moment, and I'm excited to be back in the Treasure Valley"

Idaho Non-Profits And Charities Are His Passion
Don is passionate about Idaho and can't wait to rekindle and start new relationships in the community. "I believe in using the power of radio to positively affect the community it serves.

Over the years I've had the privilege to build some great relationships with non-profits and community leaders to raise a lot of money and awareness for some great causes.

Those great causes include Toys For Tots, St. Jude, Primary Children's Hospital, Teton Cancer Institute, Veterans Mobility Corp., Eastern Idaho Down Syndrome Family Connect Program, CASA, Champs Heart, and The Domestic Violence & Sexual Assault Center, MDA Fill The Boat, Community Food Basket Of Idaho, The Rescue Mission, and more. "When it comes to helping any organization that helps kids and our veterans or first responders, you can count me in!"

He is also passionate about his "Star Guitar" charity he began over 15 years ago. "It's all about getting guitars signed by country stars, then donating them to local charities to raise money for their cause. Don has donated dozens of guitars and raised thousands of dollars for local charities through this program.

Don also has a passion for literacy, and what started as helping with the annual Dr. Seuss "Read Across America" campaign at a local school has turned into reading to classes every month during the school year for the last 15+ plus years with his DJ Book Club. "Reading is the most important thing a child can learn.

If they can read, it opens all the doors to learning and education. And, there's nothing cooler than reading to kids and sharing stories."

A huge country music fan, Don started his career at the beginning of the greatest decade in country music. "I started in the early 90's. Playing Garth, Reba, Alan, and George. The 90's changed country music and made it more mainstream.

Now we have Luke Combs, Morgan Wallen, Zach Top, Megan Moroney, Jason Aldean, Lainey Wilson, Riley Green, and Ella Langley. Country music is hotter than ever and we have it 24/7 on 104.3, WOW Country."

Don is married and has 4 children, 1 grandchild, 3 cats, and 2 dogs. And when he gets time, he enjoys hunting and fishing and spending time with his family. Oh, and maintaining his lawn. "I have a lawncare obsession. Nobody can mow my lawn except me. I love my lawn."
