Almost a half a century and now they're shutting their doors forever.  Bow Wow Auto Parts will be no more.

Michael Thornton started the business just after he got home from the Vietnam War.  They packed up their VW bus and left Seattle in the rear view mirror and headed for Boise.  They started the business because they could never find the parts they needed for their own VW bus and thought, "Why not open up a shop and take care of all the VW drivers in the area."

Michael sadly passed away in 2015 due to his complications from Alzheimer's and dementia.  Pat says that without her husband, best friend, and business owner... it's just not the same.  She's ready to retire.

Bow Wow will shut its doors for the final time on June 2.  Pat wants all her customers to know that they're not just customers.  They're family.  She'll always have a special place in her heart for every person that walked through Bow Wow's doors.
