Albertson’s Foundation Donates $3.5 Million to Boise River Park Expansion Project

Kudos to the J.A. and Kathryn Albertson Foundation! They're donation will help complete phase two.

The $3.5 million dollar donation will help expand the whitewater recreation park in downtown Boise's West End.

The grant will fund the following projects:

• Three new play waves,
• A Slalom course
• Improved river access
• River hazard removal
• Floodway improvements
• River access from Veterans Park Pond
• An additional viewing plaza.

The project-which is also being funded by the City of Boise- will begin in the fall of 2017 and set to be completed in 2019.
