***UPDATE*** - The Paraglider has been pronounced dead

At this point,  we don't  know if this was a single paraglider or if this was a tandem flight carrying two people.

KTVB just broke the story and currently have a vehicle in route to bring us all up to date on how bad this crash was, what caused the crash, and who was involved.  Originally it was reported that there were just injuries and our hope was that whoever was involved would be able to walk away from this horrible experience with nothing but a few bumps and bruises and a story to tell.  We've since learned that at least one person has been pronounced dead.

Pilot training and tandem flights for paragliding are very common at Horseshoe Bend Flight Park.  Safety is THE priority so it's very rare that accidents like this occur.  Horseshoe Bend Flight Park is on Old Emmett Road in Horseshoe Bend, Idaho.  The crash took place just over an hour ago at around 11 a.m.  Paramedics, the fire department, deputies with the Boise County Sheriff's Office and Idaho State Police are all currently on the scene.  Again, our prayers go out to whoever is involved and their family or families. We're thinking of you.
