Boise is Getting Its Own Major League Sports Team – But It’s Not What You Think
Boise is getting a pro sports team, and it feels almost...magical.
It's going to be fun for wizards, witches, and muggles alike as Boise gets its very own professional Quidditch team. It was announced last week that Major League Quidditch's Phoenix team will be relocating to Boise to play in the 2018 season. The team's new name? The 'Boise Greys.' Why is a big wizarding Quidditch team from Phoenix moving to the city of trees? Spokesman Jack McGovern explains:
We see that Idaho is the fastest-growing state in the country, and we’re excited to tap into a sports market that we feel is young. We’re excited to be in Idaho.
While it hasn't been determined exactly where the Boise Greys will be duking it out, regardless of venue, the professional Quidditch team is 100% moving to Boise. If you think you've got what it takes to catch the Golden Snitch, tryouts for the Greys begin in April.
If this entire article went over your head, Quidditch is from the Wizarding World of Harry Potter. Get with the times, muggle.
