I think it's tragic that most kids don't even know what a drive-in theater is.  They don't know what it's like to sneak a bunch of your friends into the movies by locking them into the trunk of the car.  They don't know about laying in the back of a truck with pillows and blankets hoping to steal that first kiss.  They don't realize that we watch two movies for cheaper than they're paying for one.  There are a million good memories I have at the drive-in theaters growing up so it makes me very happy to see Caldwell's Terrace Drive-In back in operation and open for business.

There have been a lot of rumors about whether Terrace Drive-In was going to continue as one of the VERY few drive-ins left in Idaho or fold with what has now become something of the past.  I'm hoping the past quickly becomes the present and the future again when it comes to these nostalgic theaters because these theaters make memories.  They don't need soft, cushy chairs that recline or cup holders or even some fancy restaurant hooked to their theater.  All they need are the cars to come rolling in and then WE get to create and live life in a unique atmosphere where anything can happen.
