Harsin graduated from Capitol High School and walked on to Boise State were he played quarterback from '95-'99.

He began his coaching career at Eastern Oregon University, where he was the quarterback and running back coach for the 2000 season.

Harsin became a Graduate Assistant for Boise State in 2001, then transitioned to the Tight Ends coach from 2002-2005.

In 2006, Harsin was promoted to Offensive Coordinator and Quarterbacks coach for BSU. During his tenure, the Broncos had a 61-5 record, two undefeated seasons, and two BCS bowl victories!

In 2011, Harsin left Boise for a co-offensive coordinator position with the University of Texas (he was the primary play-caller) as well as the quarterbacks coach for the longhorns during the 2011-2012 seasons.

Last year, Harsin was announced as the head coach for the Arkansas State Red Wolves.

Today, Coach Harsin returns to Boise with an awesome new gig: Head Coach for the Boise State Broncos!! Here's what he had to say:

"We're coming home.[...] One of the hardest decisions we ever made was leaving Boise. We did that so I could become a better coach, so I could one day have the opportunity to return as head coach -- that day has arrived.[...] I embrace the success but won't rest on it. We will build this program every day with a sense of urgency."

Congrats Coach Harsin, welcome back to Boise!
