Bill Gates and soon to be ex wife, Melinda, announced their plans to divorce yesterday with a statement that reads in part:

"After a great deal of thought and a lot of work on our relationship, we have made the decision to end our marriage. Over the last 27 years, we have raised three incredible children and built a foundation that works all over the world to enable all people to lead healthy, productive lives. We continue to share a belief in that mission and will continue our work together at the foundation, but we no longer believe we can grow together as a couple in this next phase of our lives."

You know what that means! Bill Gates is on the market, ladies! But let's not kid ourselves into thinking he would go for some random. He's got standards! Clearly he's used to being wildly rich, so he's gonna need someone who's got a ton of money in the bank. No gold diggers! He's also into philanthropy and charity, which means his next lady friend must be too. Shared interests are important for a relationship. And clearly he has a thing for women whose names end in "elinda."

Who better fits the bill (Oh my gosh, that pun was an accident!) better than Idaho's Belinda VanderSloot?! Clearly she's got the "elinda" part down. As for how much money she has? According to USA Today in 2019, her current husband, Frank VanderSloot, is worth $4.3 billion. And since they're married that money is hers too. Because law.

East Idaho News.com detailed Frank's company, Melaleuca, for which Belinda also works, "has donated millions of dollars and products to flood, earthquake, wildfire, hurricane and tornado victims." That's charitable! Good ol' Gates would love that!

She would have to get divorced, but that would give them one more thing to have in common! From Bill and Melinda to Bill and Belinda. Easy enough transition if you ask me. And then maybe he will donate computers to every school in Idaho.
