Dog Birthdays – Are They a Thing?

I'm not sure if I'm a crazy dog-lady or if this is normal behavior.

So my dog, Whiskey, turned 3 over the weekend. So I went out got him a big ol' ham bone, a new toy, and a brand new fluffy bed. Is this normal? How do you celebrate your furry kid's birthday??
