The $5.5 million project has been approved by Caldwell City Council.

Indian Creek Plaza is a GO! The project-to be built on Arthur and Kimball streets-will completed in late 2017 or early 2018.

According to KTVB, Keri Smith-Sigman, economic development coordinator for downtown Caldwell says the plaza will be the communities "living room.”

The plaza will host about 250 events throughout the year including concerts, movies-in-the-park, festivals, farmer's markets and more.

The City of Caldwell will host an open house on October 13 so the public could get an up close look at the plans through a virtual reality tour.
