Boise is a great foodie town, but this new restaurant makes me especially excited. There are only 15 of these restaurants in the country, most of them in the South, so it's pretty cool that we've got one coming to Boise!

Tupelo Honey serves up Southern Food inspired by Carolina mountains. The first Tupelo Honey opened back in 2000 in Asheville, North Carolina. 14 other locations have opened since then according to an article on KTVB, but most of them are located in the Southeastern portion of the United States.

On Tupelo Honey's menu, you'll find items like catfish, fried chicken, shrimp, and grits. The menu does change seasonally and can vary by location. No official release of the Boise menu yet and although we know the new restaurant is coming to the Treasure Valley soon, they have not released an official grand opening date.

You'll be able to find Tupelo Honey on the second floor of Main + Marketplace, the former Capitol Terrace at 8th and Main.
