Fish and Game Looking for Boise River Poacher

Idaho Fish and Game is looking for more information about a trophy hunt near the Boise River.

Fish and Game say the buck was found near the Boise River in the Linder Rd area. Apparently the buck was wounded with a high-power rifle and later died. Not only are hunters prohibited from using high-powered rifles in that area, deer season ended a few ago.

As a new hunter, I am especially bothered by this. I feel like it's such a privilege to hunt; and after my first unsuccessful this year, I've learned that it's also an art form. So it makes me angry that not only people can't follow the rules, but just don't care!

As hunters, we have a responsibility to find the people who give us a bad name.
