I am not an easy going flier. I always have to grit my teeth and hold someone's hand during take-off and landing, so this situation would scare the pants off of me.

Delta flight 2208 en route between Portland and Salt Lake City had to quickly land in Boise today due to a medical emergency onboard the flight. It is unclear what the medical issue was at this time, but luckily there were a couple of nurses and doctors on the flight to help assist the passenger.

The situation was serious enough though that it warranted the unplanned landing in Boise and emergency responders boarded the plane as soon as it landed according to idahonews.com.

The flight was back in the air by 10 a.m. this morning, heading for Salt Lake City.

We have no current word on the current condition of the passenger having medical issues on the flight, their identity has not been released and it is unclear as to whether or not they are being treated at an area hospital.

Bottom line, we are grateful to the pilot and crew who responded quickly and made the right decision to land and get this person the proper medical care they needed. Everyone else on the flight is completely fine and was able to carry on with their trip.
