Motorcycles have been banned from the upper floors of some parking garages in downtown Boise, but motorcyclists are screaming for joy because the movement means they can park for free!

The change came earlier this year when the Capital City Development Corporation decided to ban motorcycles from parking on the upper levels of their parking garages downtown because they claim there are entering and exiting issues with vehicles that small.

Now they have come up with a solution that should make everyone happy. According to boisedev.com, motorcyclists can park for free in the 9th and Main and 9th and Front garages on the ground floor in designated areas that will be clearly lit and marked as free parking for motorcyclists.

Motorcyclists who pay and park in the upper levels will not be fined, but they will receive a notice that free parking is available on the ground floor.

Seems like a win-win situation to me.
