To get them there on time and at regular rates, the postal service recommends sending them by Friday. You can still get it there if you send it on the 23rd but you'll pay more for Priority Mail and Express Mail.

To avoid crowds, use the shipping kiosks at post offices. To make it even quicker you can order prepaid labels, boxes, and envelopes at usps.com.

Gift cards are recommended to be shipped in padded envelopes.
