Help A Black Thumb?

No green thumb here. Have any tips or suggestions?

Ok, I kill every flower and plant. I over water, under water, too much shade too much sun. Pretty flowers come to my house to die.

I still attempt every year. Any tips? All of my backyard flowers get full sun, my front yard would be partial sun. What type of flowers do I need? Obviously something low maintenance.

Help!
